Well, here we are... the last month of our journey linking 12 photographers from across the country on a monthly blogging theme. This months theme was chosen by yours truly last December. I chose CELEBRATION. And while I had grand plans of turning the Canon on my family, I fell short. But there's always the iphone.
Each year we go and make that mouse a little richer. We've been doing it since Brooke was 2 years old and have just continued the tradition. It's like our kick off of the Christmas season, how we start to CELEBRATE Christmas. We arrive around the same time. We eat in the same place, do the same route, standing in the same spot to watch the parade. The kids love it every year!

My happy place you ask?
This month I would love to be in the fetal position in between some crisp, laundered sheets.
Boy, has this month been quite busy and the month before that.... the same.
Tis' the seaason of being a photographer! And for that I am extremely blessed and grateful to be able to photograph some amazing families.
My true happy place would be with my family of course which I feel as if I have neglected some. Didn't get a chance to turn the DSLR on them but I certainly had my iphone.
So enjoy my happy place!

This month's theme... EYES.
Every month I have great intentions to go out of the box, but with it being the busy season....
I'll have to settle with pictures of my children. I love capturing their personality and their eyes. Payne has the most amamzing blue eyes amd Brooke has the best shaped eyes and her eyebrows are to die for!
I think it's a proverb... but EYES are the window to the soul and I truly believe it!
Thanks for stopping by. Please continue the circle with Tampa family photographer, Brooke of Hamilton Creek Photography
I am thirlled with these photos.
And so was the mom.
She must have said she loved them about 10 times throughout our text exchange! Nothing makes me happier when the mom is in love with her photos.
We had to reschedule because of rain last week. And I was driving over to the Clearwater Marina I could see the black cloud. As soon as I pulled up to the marina it started pouring. Thank goodness it was a qucik passing shower which left some amazing clouds.
I was thrilled to be using their families boat!
These are a few of my favorites!
Another month and and another struggle as to how I could interpret this month's theme .... NOSTALGIA. And two weeks ago I read an article in the Tampa Bay Business Journal and the light bulb turned on.
I'm taking it back to my college years ... back when in I graduated from high school up in Fort Walton Beach and I decided to get out of town. I attended the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany. My dad (who was in the military) got orders to Frankfurt, Germany and my family left the summer before my senior year. I stayed behind to finish up with all of my friends. Once I graduated HS I jumped on a plane and flew to Germany.
I couldn't wait to see the world.
And boy did I.
I'm sure most know that there is no drinking age in Germany. And if you are on base, it's 18 and I was certainly that.
I started my freshman year in Munich knowing one girl from HS who just happened to be there too. I met lots of people and spent many hours drinking, barely getting a passing GPA my first semster. Something I'm not proud of but something I would NEVER trade. I saw the world. And it was worth every moment.
So back to the business journal... announcing that the Hofbräuhaus was opening. I couldn't wait to go and see if it would be the same. And it was. Brought back so many memories!!!
Most that know me know that I don't drink much anymore. I fullfilled that square during my two years in Munich and then some. So when it came time to order a beer I ordered the small one. My husband told to order the liter and we'd share it. When it arrived it smelled and tasted JUST like I remember. Another moment I'm not proud of but I could put 4-5 of these away in a night a walk home. I think on this day I drank most of it.
So there... that's my nostalgia story as portrayed by my iphone pics.
Me and my husband.
And don't laugh... I found a picture of me back in the day and put it up next to the one I took last week. Boy, I still look so young! Pfff.... must be the beer talking!
